Role

Kadar Khristan performed as one of the ensemble dancers in ILMA. As part of the diverse group of performers, Khristan contributed to the collaborative exploration of climate-related emotions and human-nature connections through movement.

ILMA is a contemporary dance performance exploring emotions and human-nature relationships in the context of climate change. Created by choreographer Nella Turkki as her artistic thesis for the University of the Arts Helsinki (Theatre Academy, Master’s Program in Dance Pedagogy), the work delves into feelings such as grief, fear, frustration, and hope inspired by environmental changes. The performance weaves together autobiographical memories, physical sensations, and the diversity of its performers, aged 14 to 84, into a vibrant, absurd, and authentic choreographic tapestry. It invites audiences to engage, feel, and connect with the shared space of human and environmental interaction.
